I don't really have as much faith in free market controls as you profess to have - at least, until some better answer is put in place, which seems to be your overall take on it. I say they'll slide in while they can to take whatever we'll let them or whatever we simply can't stop them from taking, and that's what worries me.
Well, I don't have THAT much faith in free markets, otherwise I'd approve of Ajit Pai's current plan. I've always been in favor of some level of business regulation to make up for the limitations of what free markets can do.
Anyway, I think we can both agree that by any standard, Pai's idea is a bad one, regardless of how much telcos may or may not abuse it.
