Good morning, sinners.
For yr blogging pleasure this morning, I give you this National Geographic piece on the awesome spectacle of Bolivian wrestling, featuring the cholitas luchadoras!
It’s masked wrestlers vs wrestling women in petticoats and bowler hats, the latter of whom have revitalized Bolivia’s wrestling business. The photos alone are marvelous. (Wacky Archives has highlights here if you don’t want to slog through the NatGeo slide show.)
If Vince McMahon is looking for new ideas, he could do worse than sending some talent scouts to La Paz. Though he’d probably put John Cena in a petticoat.
