YOU NEVER SAW THIS POST
ITEM [via Danger Room]: A team of scientists from the United States and China announce that, for the first time, they have found a means of selectively and safely erasing memories in mice by using a flash of light.
Sound familiar?

The US military is, naturally, very interested in these results. Evidently they’ve been looking at memory-erasing drugs like propranolol to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (or Shell Shock, as it was once known back when you were allowed to describe warfare more accurately). However:
Memory loss warfare, eh? Let's fancy that.
Pro: The US govt could fight terrorism by blasting every cave in Afghanistan with these so al Qaeda forgets every plan they make.
Con: We end up in a Philip K Dick novel where we all forget that George W Bush’s term expired 20 years ago and we all think it’s still September 12, 2001.
I forgot to remember to forget,
This is ... um ................... wait, wait, I know this ............
