Considering that, on average, there are three major (i.e. 6.0+) quakes every week, they had roughly a 50% chance of being seen as the cause of one, and if you figure it might take a day or two for the Earth to get upset enough, that would be pretty much 100%.

Hey! Maybe the Earth is just jiggling in solidarity?
