I HAD TOO MUCH TO DREAM LAST NIGHT
I dreamed I was assigned to cover a story about some Japanese R&D firm that had invented a "quantum app" for iPhones and Android phones that worked across different parallel universes.
The idea was that the app – which could be for FaceBook or G+ or GoogleMaps or iTunes whatever – could be used to gather usage data from the same app (and thus the same user) across all possible universes in which the user exists.
The result: the data could be crunched into the most complete user profile possible, thus creating an app with unrivaled predictive capabilities, enabling it to anticipate the user's needs and make relevant recommendations with pinpoint accuracy by calculating all possible choices in all possible universes.
This is the kind of dream I have when I watch the first three seasons of Fringe on DVD back to back, apparently.
There's an app for that,
This is dF
