ON AN ISLAND

Good morning, sinners.

Spent yesterday afternoon on the island of Peng Chau, which is right across from Disco Bay and so close I can see it from my flat. I’ve been to several of the outlying islands, but not that one. And the ferry pier to get there is a few minutes’ walk from the doorstep.

So we went. And spent most of the time kicking around the main village. Which looks something like this.

It was pretty quiet, as you can see, as it was Sunday and a lot of shops were closed. So we bought some fruit, walked around, and had an early dinner at a very nice restaurant on Wing On Street, where we had BBQ chicken, pumpkin deep fried in egg batter, fish soup with tofu-wrapped shrimp balls and XO sauce, sweet/sour pork, and vegetables in some kind of nut sauce. Yum!

And of course we wrapped things up with another wiggy sunset.

Observe.

All that, and we somehow made it home by 7pm. So I took the new Speedos for a test drive at the pool. Results: five (5) bikini tops, three indecent proposals and a public warning.

Success!

Day tripping,

This is dF

Thanks. The pictures kind of take themselves in this case – I love walking through these old HK villages. It's like going back in time 40 or 50 years. The bridal unit grew up on an island village like this, so she's a little less enthused. :)
