NEVER SEND A DOG TO DO A DELIVERY FIRM’S JOB

First of all, I’ve picked up a new friend in the last 24 hours, so a big HK welcome to [livejournal.com profile] padiwack , and a belated happy birthday. Thanks for the add – you won’t be sorry for long.

Second, today is another holiday in Hong Kong: National Day! Marking the 59th anniverary of the founding of the PRC, it’s the Chinese equivalent of the 4th Of July, except it lasts for a week or two. At least in mainland China, where they have a couple of Golden Week holidays coming up. Here in HK, we just get the one day off (One Country, Two Systems™ and all) and fireworks over Victoria Harbour, which kick off in about 20 minutes.

Since I'm (1) not from China and (2) not big on excessive nationalism for its own sake, all I’ve done today is swim and write some more chapters of the Great Science Fiction Sex Novel, so all I have for you at the moment is this commercial that’s been running on TV for the last couple of weeks.

The bridal unit and I love this commercial. It’s got courage, frolicking collies and comedy swearing. EPIC WIN!

FROLICKING COLLIES! It's better than listening to John McCain on CNN whining in Independence, MO.
