Unless the picture was taken at a Hannah Montana concert. Which would kick 31 flavors of ass all over this land.

DISCLAIMER: I’m not the biggest Metallica fan in the world, and not just because of their “downloading is killing music” politics. But I do like their first few albums, and I’d much rather that school children listen to Master Of Puppets than Hannah, Miley, Jonas and the other stars of High School Musical.

If it were my kid, of course (and I don’t have any, but if I did), the Metallica logo would be replaced by a Blue Oyster Cult logo.

Kids won’t follow,

Personally, I'd rather they be listening to the Beatles or Bob Dylan. Other than Enter The Sandman and One, I don't care for any of Metallica's stuff.

Fuck, there's hope after all. At the music festival I went to a couple of weeks ago I was a bit disdainful off all the kiddies wearing disco pants and Iron Maiden t-shirts, but hell--it's a start.

Metallica might have embarrassed me more often than not over the last decade or so, but there's a good reason they're on of the biggest bands in the world and I'm not surprised that's the band whose name made it on the sign.
