ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY THE ONLY THING I’M GOING TO POST ABOUT OBAMA’S SOCIALIST BRAINWASH SPEECH

Bet the Republicans feel like a right bunch of charlies now.
Ha ha. Just kidding. They’re probably patting themselves on the back for pressuring Obama into changing his speech to remove all the Koran verses, Marx quotes and subliminal messages saying “OBEY”. Or whatever the f*** it was they thought he was going to say.
Or maybe they’re staying on message and blasting Obama for his socialist propaganda that he insidiously snuck into every line rather than having the guts to be honest and say them in plain English.

Granted, I don’t know for sure that Republicans are saying any of that. I haven’t bothered to Google it. But then what’s the point? I know people who swear blind that Obama is out to literally rewrite the Constitution to turn America into a Socialist dictatorship, and – when asked for evidence – hand me a speech clip where Obama once said he would “fundamentally transform America”.
Well, damn, Jim.
Which is why I figure they're decoding the speech for more Socialist code words. Still, even if they're not, I'm sure that just about none of the Repubs who freaked out have said, "Wow, that was actually a pretty good speech. I feel kinda silly now for getting worked up over it."
No. Not in the Kingdom Of Fear.
Personally, I saw the Obama Kids speech for what it was: a politically motivated but otherwise garden-variety photo-opp with basically benign intentions, and – possibly at some symbolic level – an attempt to re-establish the presidency as a role model for kids.
You know, the way it used to be before everyone decided that Presidents of The Other Party were partisan hacks with dangerous political agendas who wanted to brainwash yr kids into voting for Evil.
Which probably started around Nixon’s time. Or possibly even JFK’s. Or maybe Presidents were never role models. I remember seeing old cartoons making constant references to kids wanting to grow up to be President. But they also made references to cute animals with speech impediments blowing each other up with dynamite. So I could be wrong.
Whatever. At the end of the day, the kids who got to see Obama’s speech were at best inspired or at worst bored senseless. As for the kids who didn’t see it because their school district or parents wouldn’t let them, the only lesson they got was that Democrat Presidents are evil people who tells lies and poison yr mind.
Let’s see how the kids work that one out 20 years from now.

The notice was more confusing to the boy than anything else, so he didn't show it to us until after the speech. I think he wanted to see the President and was afraid that we wouldn't let him.
See, they breed confusion without even trying. Damn they're good...
