They have one other common link besides the fact that both singers used to be in ABBA.
By coincidence (possibly), both songs were written by Russ Ballard.
You remember Russ Ballard, of course. He was in regular rotation on the MTVs in the early 80s with his song “Voices”. Which probably still gets played on VH1, or on any given 80s Night.
Interestingly, despite the amount of airplay it got on MTV, “Voices” never cracked the Billboard Hot 100. But I liked it.
I also liked the video. Because who hasn’t had that fantasy where you run off with the corrupt rich guy’s hot daughter and get chased by a helicopter?
