Ironically, Muslims aren’t even the most picked-on religious minority:

It says a lot that one of the silver linings in these stats is that most hate crimes aren’t murders: they usually just involve assault, intimidation or vandalism.
So, you know, that’s something.
Here’s some more perspective:
So hey, at least yr more likely to be beat up or vandalized or intimidated because of yr race instead of yr religious beliefs.
Hooray for the Constitution, I guess.

Religious tension in this country traditionally hasn't reached the level of racial tension that accompanied the police shootings of unarmed black men this past year. This fact is reflected in the hate crime statistics as well. Racially-motivated hate crimes outnumber religiously-motivated crimes by roughly two to one.
So hey, at least yr more likely to be beat up or vandalized or intimidated because of yr race instead of yr religious beliefs.
