Pure class. Though you should see the 2002 edition.
Say what you want about Liddy, but I like him for all the wrong reasons. He’s insane, yes. But he’s also symptomatic of a mentality that is more prevalent in American culture than Americans probably like to admit: real Americans likes the guns, and have no moral qualms whatsoever about fucking killing the first motherfuckering Commie bitch who tries to take them away from us. Or a Mexican, whatever you got. Just bring it. Total strangers preferred.
These are things worth knowing. And Liddy is at least honest about it – unlike plenty of NRA members I hear who talk about guns as a basic human right while dodging the fact that what they really want is the ability to blow someone's head off if the need arises.
As for the whole chicks-with-guns sub-genre, well, it’s too silly to take that that seriously. Still, as a peacetime combat veteran who has trained on many different types of firearms, I sometimes wince at the idea of fetishizing what is basically a weapon designed for the purpose of violently killing another person.
Which is also worth knowing. I’m not particularly anti-gun, but I am in favor of showing people who want to own them actual video footage of what happens to people when you shoot them – and of course refuse sale to anyone who’s reaction is, “Can I get a copy of the video too? And do you have that in Blu-Ray?”
