I was. I’m in Singapore now, and I’m dead tired. Yesterday was spent checking out of Phuket and flying here and going to meetings that lasted until 10pm (dinner included, luckily) then doing research and preparing my material for the MC gig I had to do today.
Which I did, as well as walk a lot to and from meetings, and then when it was all over I took the MRT to Orchard Road to have dinner and hunt me down some Arthur C Clarke.
Mission accomplished.
As for Phuket, there’s not much else to report – I spent most of Tuesday working in the bungalow, then did my telephones dinner speech (in which I plagiarized Steve Martin and took cheap shots at the music industry for no real reason other than that they deserve it) and watched hot Chinese babes play classical pop. With pyro.
Oh, and I did get to go for a relaxing swim. I’d show you the pictures, but you do not want to see them.
Instead, enjoy the authentic tin mining industry silverware at the breakfast table of the ground floor restaurant.

Enjoy also the metalworks sculpture art, like the “Woman With Two-Stroke Engine Powered Wheelbarrow”, or the steampunk flatscreen TV.

Click on the pics for larger versions. See if you can spot the cat.
And so much for Phuket. Tomorrow, it’s classified meetings with superhot Teaf Def agents K and R, then back to Hong Kong. Tonight, I have to finish off the rest of this Wild Turkey bottle. And why not?
Bottoms up,
This is dF
