ITEM: Conservative media figures and outlets are saying they will refuse to complete the 2010 US Census, and they highly suggest you do the same. Why? Because the questions included in the survey are "unconstitutional” – and because ACORN is involved.

Oh and because if you fill it out, Obama can use it to hunt down Republicans and put them in concentration camps just like he did to the Japanese in WW2.

Source: Rep. Michele Bachmann, who actually manages to freak out Glenn Beck with this idea.

Which is odd, considering Beck was going around a few months ago claiming he was investigating whether FEMA had a plan to round up Republicans in concentration camps (though he later backed off from that, citing “lack of evidence”).

Still, seeing Glenn Beck roll his eyes at Michele Bachmann surely violates some law of physics. Notice also that he doesn’t seem all that impressed with Bachmann’s complaint that there’s no question on the census form asking: “Are you a US citizen?” – which she says would be a great way to find out how many illegal immigrants there are in America. (And then we can round THEM up into concentration camps, etc.)

Well, at least we’ll learn how many batshit conspiracy theorists there are in America. Just take the number of forms issued and subtract the number of forms you get back. The resulting number is the batshit population.

I'll find you,

Currently making the rounds on the Interwub: a video from a church in Connecticut in which church elders perform an exorcism of a 16-year-old boy to cure him of his homosexuality.

Following the predictable outrage, the church removed the video from YouTube, but you can see a clip here if you want.

"Rip it from his throat!" a woman yells. "Come on, you homosexual demon! You homosexual spirit, we call you out right now! Loose your grip, Lucifer!"

What’s really disturbing is the idea that it’s not just one church in Connecticutt doing this kind of thing:

It's nearly impossible to say how often similar exercises occur in churches nationwide. But Kamora Herrington, who runs a mentoring program at True Colors and has worked with the youth, said she believes it's fairly common.

"This happens all the time," she said.

"This is not isolated."Robin McHaelin, executive director of True Colors, an advocacy group for gay youths, said her organization is aware of five cases in recent years in which youths in her program were threatened with exorcism.

Couple that with the knowledge that 45% of the country voted for a presidential candidate whose VP (who was arguably more popular than he was) was blessed in church by witch hunters – and the fact that the GOP’s original 2012 hopeful, Bobby Jindal, says he has actually performed an exorcism – and things start looking grim indeed.

Meanwhile, in Louisville, Kentucky:

It's a Gun Pride thing, evidently:

“God and guns were part of the foundation of this country,” Mr. Pagano, 49, said Wednesday in the small brick Assembly of God church, where a large wooden cross hung over the altar and two American flags jutted from side walls. “I don’t see any contradiction in this. Not every Christian denomination is pacifist.”

FUN FACT: Of the 40 states with right-to-carry laws, 20 allow guns in churches.
