ROGUE ELEMENTS AT HOME AND ABROAD

If I had time, I could do a post on this report – which went mostly unnoticed in the US – that five US soldiers have been charged with forming a rogue “kill team” to specifically target and murder civilians in Afghanistan.

Alternately, I could do a post about this report – which also went mostly unnoticed in the US – on a Justice Dept report on how the FBI not only targeted left-wing groups for surveillance after 9/11, but also took at least one event (an anti-war rally in Pittsburgh) and created false evidence to portray it as a terrorism-related operation when in fact no such connection existed – all because a rookie agent spying on the rally took a photo of a protester that looked vaguely Middle Eastern just to have something to show his supervisor.

But, as I said, I don’t really have the time.

I’m sure Fox News and CNN would say the same thing if you asked them.
