I do. Primarily because of this song.
I was four when it came out. But I didn’t actually hear it until I was 18, when I inherited the 45 from a high school/D&D chum who was a year younger than me but was (and remains to this day) obsessed with hippies.
So it’s not like I have an excuse.
Then again, I don’t feel I need one. Not with the Village People in my collection.
FUN FACT: The Cowsills were the inspiration for The Partridge Family, in the sense that Screen Gems wanted them to do a TV series, but also wanted Shirley Jones to replace Barbara Cowsill. The Cowsills said no, and Screen Gems gave us David Cassidy.
