Obviously they don’t mean email as we know it. Email Ltd was an Australian manufacturing conglomerate. The name was an acronym for Electricity Meter & Allied Industries Ltd. It was eventually carved up and sold in 2001.

The punch line in 2013 is, of course: "What, yr fridge ONLY has email?"
