FOR MY NEXT TRICK, I’LL NEED A VOLUNTEER

The good news: many of you have a three-day weekend coming up.
The other news: it kicks off with Valentine’s Day. Whether that’s good or bad depends on whether you (1) recognize it as a legitimate holiday, and (2) have Someone Special to share it with.
If you fit (1) and (2) and love everything VD stands for, good for you. But please look away now.
Because for everyone else, it’s time for Team Def to bring balance to the Force with Beautiful Valentines For Ugly People, our annual critique of Valentine’s Day – in the form of an illegal music podcast full of songs that aren’t written by Dianne Warren. Because it’s tradition. And because it’s not fair to let
bedsitter23 do all the work.
PRODUCTION NOTE: You don’t have to hate Valentine’s Day to enjoy this comp. But you do need a sense of humor. I genuinely dislike VD personally, for reasons I have already posted, but I try to keep these things entertaining too. I mean, it’s not like I’m holding teddy bears hostage or anything to get my point across.

Download now and you’ll get 19 fabulous songs full of heartbreak, adultery, treachery, public humiliation, divorce, confirmed bachelors, crimes of passion, rented affection and guilt-ridden cowboys! With bonus Droopy Dog and information on how Christianity makes girl-watching more meaningful!
