The ex is a psychologist. One of the most disturbing things that I've learned about psychology is:
Amount spent on psychology to help mankind - Minuscule. A pittance if you will.
Amount spent on psychology to get people to buy their useless crap - Huge. Unbelievably huge. I mean HUGE.
I know it's old news, but actually witnessing the recruitment of graduating psychologists by corporations and advertisers was very creepy.
