defrogPeter O’Toole: so awesome that he once arrived for his Letterman interview by camel. Then gave the camel a beer for its trouble.
Notice also how he smokes throughout the interview. You can’t do that on American TV talk shows anymore. Unless yr Peter O’Toole, that is.
If you have some extra time, the anecdote about camels, Omar Sharif and booze is worth sitting through. Because yr never going to get a story like that from most of today’s A-list.

on 2010-03-08 04:32 am (UTC)If I had to choose one O'Toole favorite, I'd have to go with The Lion In Winter (great play, great movie, O'Toole and Hepburn pwn everyone, the end), if only because The Ruling Class seems too obvious a choice.
