defrog!!! (pronounced Chk Chk Chk) get a lot of flak for their name, but they’re actually quite good – provided you like bands that play intellectual dance music.
Which I tend to do.
Their new album, Strange Weather, Isn’t It?, has been entertaining the hell out of me. It sounds a lot more fully realized than the previous album, and leans a little more towards electronica (supposedly the result of recording in Berlin this time), which makes for a spacier sound with lots of depth.
