Which may only mean anything to those of you familiar with Hammer films like this one.
Anyway, it was Hammer where she built up her fanbase, and in her own way she was a pioneer in the “sexy vampire” genre – or at least the “lesbian vampire” genre.
She was also imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp at age 5, studied acting under the widow of Bertholt Brecht, and escaped from East Germany after telling the Commies where to get off.
