defrogThe Hong Kong Sevens is coming up next Friday. Which – for me – means a lot of drunk rugby fans in Causeway Bay for the next week or so.
And not much else, for I am not a fan. Indeed, I know bugger-all about rugby, apart from the obvious (i.e. it’s a team sport, there’s an oblong ball involved, as well as a lot of running and kicking and tackling, etc), and I have no real interest in watching it. Not even for free – and I do get offered free tickets from time to time in my capacity as a journalist.
But I can tell you this: I would totally watch rugby if one of the teams was composed of flight attendants. And if they were allowed to use foreign objects like hot towels, boarding passes and food trolleys. And if they set the game to classic Billy Idol songs.

Then I’d go to the Sevens every year.
