Gary Johnson is running for president, and one thing you have to give him credit for is that he’s determined to be part of the national debate, even if no one wants debate him. He wasn’t invited to the televised CNN debate in New Hampshire, but he didn’t let that stop him. He spent the debate watching it on TV with the Iowa Tea Party, then posted his own responses to the debate questions on YouTube.

And while he’s never debated President Barack Obama, he has debated an Obama impersonator. On Fox News. With John Stossel as moderator.

How f***ing awesome is that?

I mean, seriously. Ten years ago, if you did anything like this on a news channel, you’d be sacked before the segment finished airing. In 2011, you can totally get away with it. The only way you could improve on this formula is to get someone to impersonate Gary Johnson and John Stossel.

As for Johnson, you do have to wonder at what point he thought this would be a boost for his campaign, but then it’s not like he has much to lose – not with his tendency to take Libertarianism seriously. Because while it’s mandatory to run on the “small, unintrusive govt” meme for the GOP nomination this year, yr not supposed to actually mean it.

I’m not gonna debate you Gary,
