If I did a post every time Rick Santorum said something inane about Teh Gayz, this blog would be a blog about nothing else except Rick Santorum saying something inane about Teh Gayz. So I try to keep it to a minimum and focus only on the highlights.
This would be one of them.

Santorum is, of course, talking about the consequences of ending DADT – which, apparently, include showering with gay men that you know are gay men.
Or, as Santorum explains:
Which may be his best muddled it’s-different-for-gayz statement since “I have no problem with homosexuality. I have a problem with homosexual acts.”
Or at least until he said this later in the same interview, when Chris Wallace pointed out that generals used to make similar excuses against allowing desegregation in the military in the 1940s:
So at least he’s not racist.
Also, it should be mentioned in all fairness that Rick Santorum has said no one in the military should be having sex at all, gay or straight. So it’s not like he’s just picking on gay soldiers who want to shower with him.
All of which ought to help him with his presidential campaign. Because you want a commander-in-chief who wants to make sure America’s soldiers are celibate and only shower with closeted gay people instead of openly gay people. That’s how you win wars and stuff.
FULL DISCLOSURE: As a peacetime combat veteran, I have frequently showered with naked men. Some of them were quite possibly gay.
Pass the soap,
This is dF

Or, as Santorum explains:
"The problem is that sexual activity with people who you are in close quarters with who happen to be of the same sex is different than being open about your sexuality," Santorum said on "Fox News Sunday."

"It's not the same thing," Santorum said. "You are black by the color of your skin. You are not homosexual, necessarily, by the color of your skin."
So at least he’s not racist.
