RAISE MY RENT AND TAKE OFF ALL YR CLOTHES

I recently bought a replacement copy of the classic Tom Waits album Small Change, which was, I'm pretty sure, the first Tom Waits album I ever owned. (It's either that or Nighthawks At The Diner.)

Two notable things about it (besides the music):
1. I’ve mentioned this before, but the cover girl? That’s Cassandra Peterson, whom you may know by another name. At least the Internet says it's her. Peterson herself isn't 100% sure about that. But why argue with a good story?
2. Waits was way, way ahead of the burlesque revival.
And he’s probably partially responsible for nurturing my own love for burlesque as well. For which I will always be grateful.
Get a little something you can’t get at home,
This is dF
