She’s back.
And she’s brought a whole pack of bisexual boy toys with her.
PRODUCTION NOTE: Somewhat NSFW.
People think I’m kidding when I say I like Madonna.
I’m not. I’m a fan. And judging from the tracks from her new album I heard in HMV this afternoon – to say nothing of the above video – she’s back on form.
Detractors may say Madonna is getting a little old to be doing this kind of thing. I say the fact that she’s not letting age define or confine her sexual expression is not only characteristic of her, but also what makes her so awesome.
I am not worthy,
This is dF

on 2012-03-27 04:33 pm (UTC)What can I say? I do like Madonna a lot, although like anyone who's been around as long as she has, some albums are better than others. The new one sounds like a return to Confessions On A Dance Floor, which was the best thing she'd done since probably Ray Of Light.
And imagewise, well ... you can guess know how I feel about videos sexy enough to freak out Rick Santorum. It's interesting that Lady Gaga has taken the mantle on that front to the point where it arguably dilutes Madonna's ability to provoke sexually somewhat. On the other hand, Madonna practically invented the sexually provocative video, and doing it at her age is provocative in itself, bless her.

on 2012-03-27 04:41 pm (UTC)As for her videos...she definitely knows how to bring the sexually provocative. I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga's, per se, but what I've seen of her videos are more provocative than sexually provocative. Madonna still has a firm grasp on the shaft of sexually provocative. :)
