defrogThe premise: purple Cyclops space tigers!
They are on the moon supervising a mining project, wearing bubble helmets fitted with unicorn horns. One of them starts arguing with another space tiger. While they start getting ready to duke it out, the moon is attacked by an invasion force and taken by surprise.
The implication is that this is the fault of the space tiger who started the argument because he was supposed to be on watch, and was distracted by his petty anger.
However, it is revealed later that the invasion force had jammed communications and the scanning equipment, effectively masking their ships from detection until it was too late. So the space tiger with the short fuse would have missed it anyway.
Meanwhile, the key to the invasion seems to be a runaway autobus careening its way through town. We attempt to stop the autobus by way of virtual reality (though it’s more Tron than The Matrix).
And then I woke up.
