1. Television personalities
I am working at a college TV station, filling in for the morning slot. I have no idea what I’m doing so I wing it and follow everyone else’s lead. The main thing I remember is that Keanu Reeves was supposed to come on and demo a new iPad game, but the iPad keeps crashing, so we stall with canned quiz shows.
2. Hands off the rabbit
I have a large stuffed toy rabbit wearing a black suit and a red shirt. I’ve drawn a tie on him using Magic Shell chocolate syrup. I go to visit someone and encounter two young men who don’t like me. They pull the old routine of acting like they’re friendly but still threatening me with violence. They make fun of my rabbit. One of them finally makes a move to pin me down and steal the rabbit, but I reverse the move and punch him.
3. Extreme CSI
I am in the same room with a corpse, for some reason. No idea why, but I was more curious than disturbed by it, even though the person’s head was grotesquely swollen on one side to the size of a basketball. We were wondering what could cause something like that, at least to that extreme. It’s not a tumor. Maybe extreme encephalitis? Implant gone horribly wrong?
4. Pirates! In a game of Hide And Seek!
I am the substitute captain on a pirate ship. The crew welcomes me with a game of Hide And Seek – they are all hiding in the locker room of a sports stadium, and I have to find them before we can sail. It’s meant to be a team building exercise. I have an iPad app that can help track where they are, but I try not to use it. I spot one right away standing with a bunch of pirate statues – he gives himself away by scratching himself. I poke him and tell him to get some Calamine lotion from the infirmary. We share a laugh and the game continues.
