defrogLeave it to Johnny Dowd to do a concept album about a dance monster who wears Nancy Sinatra boots and hits on ladies in discos.
Which he has. It’s called Do The Gargon (Gargon being the monster in question), and musically it’s funky experimental trash rock (or something along those lines) that serves as the perfect bedrock for Dowd’s laconic drawl.
Dowd’s probably an acquired taste, but it’s one I acquired awhile back. And I’m digging this.
