defrogThe LA Hardcore revival continues!
Off! is back with a new album. And this time around it’s a little more Circle Jerks than Black Flag – which is appropriate since (1) leader Keith Morris fronted both bands and (2) he started Off! after attempts at reforming the Circle Jerks for a new record didn’t pan out.
Anyway, the formula is the same – hard, fast, loud and angry, with Raymond Pettibon cover art. It’s all here, and it’s pretty exciting.
If nothing else, Off! can claim to be the only band to release a NSFW music video starring David Yow of Jesus Lizard as a drug-addicted superhero getting his ass kicked by a rival.
