As a 100% certified Agent Of Evil®, one of the most frequent questions people ask me is, “So what’s Satan really like?”

Of course, being Evil, I’m an agnostic secular humanist, not a Satan worshipper, but  any conservative Christian will tell you there’s absolutely no difference between worshipping Satan and not explicitly devoting yr entire life to the baby Jesus, so the confusion is understandable.

Either way, I’ve never met him personally. But I’ve seen him in the movies. And while there are many entertaining interpretations of Satan in 20th Century cinema – loud (Al Pacino), quiet (Robert Di Niro), big-horned (Tim Curry), metal (Dave Grohl), supermodel (Elizabeth Hurley), androgynous rubber duck lover (Powerpuff Girls) and Saddam’s gay lover (South Park) – I personally prefer the Swinging London Satan (Peter Cook).

And no, not just because he gets to work with Raquel Welch in her underwear.
