SO GOOD, SO MUSLIM, SO WHAT?

This is probably nothing new to any of you, but this is something I’ve been saying for a long time, and it’s something that bears repeating, because it’s not often yr going to hear anyone with any level of seniority say it.

That thing where Colin Powell endorsed Obama? That wasn’t nearly as important as what else he said in that interview. The biggest, most important thing he said was when he was telling Tom Brokaw what he thought about all this talk about Obama’s Musliminess:

“Well, the correct answer is, he is not a Muslim. He’s a Christian. He’s always been a Christian. But the really right answer is, what if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer’s no. That’s not America. Is something wrong with some 7-year-old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she could be president?”

Continuing our countdown to Halloween, representing the Official Monster Raving Loony Party, we have with us tonight the man who arguably invented Alice Cooper: Screaming Lord Sutch, singing “She’s Fallen In Love With A Monster Man”.
