Actually, I’m not really big on Guinness.

And this commercial is naughty naughty naughty and oh-so-wrong.

I like it.

Reminds me of my military days.

No, I’m not going to tell you why.

Like riding a bar stool suggestively whilst pouring a beer.

The best part is the promo at the 0:30 mark:

WINGS FOR KIDS.

Eh?

Of course, they don’t mean “Bring yr kids to Hooters for free wings”. It’s a reference to the “Wings For The Children” program, where Hooters donates a third of its wings revenues to tuition assistance at a school for underprivileged kids in Chicago.

The school?

Holy Family Lutheran School.

Treasure this moment, because it’s not often you’ll see the words “holy”, “family”, “Lutheran” and “Hooters” in the same sentence. For charity, no less.

Ride the stool,

I will take yr questions now.

1.) Have you ever taken your clothes off for money?

No. I typically do it as a favor to friends.

2.) Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I love the night.

3.) Do you take any kind of medication daily or regularly? If so, what?

Does whiskey count? Then no.

4.) Do you ever have naughty thoughts about any of your friends’ significant others?

Most of my friends are women, so I’d have to be a lot more gay than I am. So okay, sure, a little.

5.) What are your favorite comfort foods?

Chocopies!

6.) Would you rather direct a porn or star in one?

Both. I want to be the Clint Eastwood of porn.

7.) Have you ever seen a "donkey show"? Would you ever be interested in seeing one?

I don’t know what a “donkey show” is, and no I will not fucking Google that.

8.) On a scale of 1 to 10, how gullible of a person would you say you are?

Yeah, like I’m dumb enough to fall for THAT question.

Won’t get fooled again,

“If my dentist can’t fix it, I’m screwed.” – Warren Zevon

ITEM [via [livejournal.com profile] nebris ]: More Americans believe in UFOs (34%) than oppose a public option in healthcare reform (26%).

So naturally, the Senate Finance Committee killed the public option in the Baucus bill.

But they did approve Sen. Orrin Hatch’s amendment to provide $50 million a year exclusively for abstinence-only education. Because it works, says Hatch.

I think that about wraps it up for healthcare reform in America, don’t you? Not that anyone should be surprised. When Mitch McConnell admits that the Demos could give Repubs every concession they ask for and the GOP would still vote against it, that’s pretty much the ball game.

Of course, that wasn't supposed to matter with the Democrat super-majority that Republicans are afeared of.

Yeah, about that.

Well, Jon Stewart sums it up better than I ever could.

At this rate, I’m pretty convinced that any bill we see at the end of this – if we see one at all – is only going to benefit the insurance companies and the drug companies and the healthcare lobbyists, not the patients.
