OH, RIGHT, I HAVE THIS BLOG

Me: I’m back.

Interwub: You were gone?

Same as it ever was.

Actually, I’ve been around. But my Xmas holiday has been ... not so much busy as active enough to keep me from posting regularly.

Plus, I needed to break the habit. I’ve discovered that my quest to keep this thing updated daily is getting in the way of my ability to do other things. Like write The Great American Porn Novel. Or finish putting together my music studio so I can get cracking on that concept album (working title: Chinese Democracy).*

Plus, I’ve found that the dr_love_banana  project (and its associated tumblog) is also suffering as a result (it doesn’t help that it’s a difficult blog to update whilst at work or in a coffee shop, where I spend a lot of my online time).

So, while I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions, I suppose my one resolution will be to tell myself it’s okay if I don’t post something on a given day. You’ll all still be here when I get back from whatever it is I’m doing. (The same applies to the dr_love_banana  project.)

Creativity 101: If yr forcing it, yr not having fun. And if yr not having fun, what’s the point?

THE VIEW FROM HERE (DECEMBER 2010 EDITION)

One thing that’s been eating up my time is that we’ve moved recently, and we’re still sorting things out here and there.

Interestingly (possibly), we’ve moved to another flat in the same high-rise. Again. In fact, it’s the exact same unit. Again.

We started in 5F (Flat F on the 5th floor). Two years ago we moved to 6F. Now we’re in 17F. Top floor.

So now the view from my bedroom looks like this.





Which looks a lot like the previous view, only more epic.

BONUS MOVING MATERIAL: By a wild coincidence, my office moved house to another part of town: Causeway Bay, to be precise. It doesn’t cut down my commute time at all, but I do have this view of the marina from my cubicle.



So, you know, that’s nice.
