MY BREASTS ARE FILLED WITH LOVE AND LIFE
Mar. 24th, 2011 06:46 pmSo Liz Taylor is gone.
She was Cleopatra, you know.
You don’t need me to tell you either of those things, of course. But I thought I’d post the Cleopatra trailer anyway, because who doesn’t enjoy marketing this large?
“The movie so epic that even the trailer is five minutes long!”
Also, the film itself is a master-class in how to damn near bankrupt a movie studio. It was the highest grossing movie of 1963, and 20th Century Fox still managed to lose money on it. It’s also the only film ever to accomplish that. (To be fair, they didn’t have the HBO/home video after-market in those days.)
DISCLAIMER: Personally I preferred the “Maggie The Cat” version of Liz. But then I have a thing about slips, so I would, wouldn’t I?
Siren of the Nile,
This is dF
