Previously on dEFROG On 45:
I stand by that decision. But I should probably mention the ABBA solo records.
After the success and eventual demise of ABBA, solo careers for singers Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid (Frida) Lyngstad were probably inevitable – as was their inability to match the success of their old band. It happens – the most successful bands often are very much more than the sum of their parts.
Anyway, what success Agnetha and Frida have had on their own has happened mainly in Europe. But they did manage to score some chart success in the states.
Here’s the one I have on 45.
The video is kinda creepy, not unlike one of those awful 80s straight-to-video erotic thrillers they used to show on Cinemax at 1am (only SFW). But the song is awesome power-pop. I’m still not tired of listening to it.
Meanwhile, I don’t have Frida’s stateside hit on 45, but I did have it on a homemade cassette comp once, so I’ll post it here out of fairness.
