Banäna Deäthmüffins are no stranger to controversy. When yr songs are generally about things like psychotic housepets, decapitated celebrities, pastries, telephones and irresponsible firearm usage, rather than more acceptable song fare (i.e. the power of love, having lots of money, and whatever the hell it is Nickelback sings about), you tend to get singled out by The Powers That Be as a danger to society.
So we figure, at this stage, why not do a song about a famous breakfast cereal mascot going on a shooting spree?
Okay, we did sit on this one for awhile, mainly because every time we were set to release it, some mass shooting happened somewhere in America.
Then we came to our senses and realized that mass shootings happen in America all the time. So if that’s our criteria, we might as well never bothered to record the song in the first place.
Besides, rabbits with shotguns are funny. Everyone knows that.
