I CANNOT DRINK A SMARTPHONE
Nov. 8th, 2013 10:47 pmYr probably aware that the FAA has decided that it’s okay for you to use electronic devices on planes during takeoff and landing (provided they’re in airplane mode).
If yr wondering just why it’s all of a sudden safe to use them, the answer is simple: the rule was written back in the 1960s when “personal electronic devices” meant “AM/FM radios”.
Personally, however, I’m more excited about this:
Or at least I would be if the scanners worked for bottled drinks. Evidently – for now, anyway – they work better with things like toothpaste, baby food and lotions (and presumably cupcakes).
But then I would say that, since I’m one of those people who think the liquid ban is pointless and dumb. I’m also one of those people who don’t really enjoy flying 14 hours to the US and being entirely dependent on flight attendants to keep from going thirsty.
Parched,
This is dF
