NICE GIRLS DON’T STAY FOR BREAKFAST

It’s also Women’s History Month in the US.
You’ll need a playlist. And there are plenty out there to choose from, but here’s my modest contribution.
METHODOLOGY: I had four main criteria: (1) female artists only, (2) include artists from other countries besides the US/UK, and (3) avoid too many obvious choices. On a related note, I made a little extra effort to vary the music genres, because believe me, it’s easy to fill up a two-hour IWD playlist with nothing but hip-hop and/or 90s riot-grrrl bands without breaking a sweat.
PRODUCTION NOTE: I kept it to two hours because let’s be honest, people don’t really listen to these things longer than that (if that). And in any case, the original pool of candidates I collected for this adds up to over eight (8) hours of music. So, if it seems like I left out any artist/song you think should be on here, I feel you and I agree, and I welcome suggestions/requests for the next list.
