defrogYou’ll be glad to know that while technically, America still has terrorism issues, people in positions of authority are working around the clock to ensure that Americans will never be terrorized by nudity on television or copyright infringement.
ITEM 1: The FCC has fined ABC affiliates a total of $1.4 million for airing images of a Charlotte Ross’ ass on broadcast TV in 2003, on the grounds that an ass is a “sexual organ”.

ITEM 2: The PRO-IP Act is currently up for consideration in Congress, and would basically rewrite copyright laws to ensure that no one will ever copy anything ever again. Among other things, the RIAA has lobbied for and got a provision that says if you copy a comp CD with ten tracks, that counts as ten acts of stealing rather than just one.
By contrast, the Magazine Publishers Association is against a provision in the new law that says you could be busted for hundreds of acts of infringement for copying one magazine.
Conclusion: the RIAA hates you. The end.
