Here’s something you don’t see every day:



Found this in my inbox this morning. And to think this is Start From Scratch’s SECOND concert of the year. The first one is this Friday, where King Ly Chee will also release their new EP.

I probably won’t go, as Cookie Monster Metal isn’t really the particular brand of metal that I prescribe for my own unique metal fever, though Horse The Band has a great gimmick with its 8-bit Nintendocore keyboards. Anyway, the shows are being held on the ferry pier next to the one I use to catch my ride home to Disco Bay, so I’ll probably hear some of it anyway.

Besides, it’s a rare thing to see the Hong Kong youth pick up electric guitars, play them loud and write their own songs. This should be encouraged by all means possible. Which is why I’m posting it here. You know, in case any of you happen to be in HK that evening.

And that's a fairly good ticket-price as well. I hope they have fun. Yeah, more kids need to pick up a guitar in Hong Kong.

Yeah, the ticket price is nice. Bjork's playing here next week – the cheap seats start at HK$480. I think the last time she was here she punched out a paparazzi, so I presume part of the ticket price covers her bail.

again? I saw her in HK before 1997... I think she punched out a pap in Bangkok that time.
