This is, of course, because NBC and Fox are afraid that if people outside the US watch their programming for free, we’ll steal it or something. Even though it's, like, free.

This is also why I haven’t seen Dr Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog yet, though Joss Whedon now has a version on the site that’s watchable anywhere. So that’s nice of him.

And sure, I could download it on iTunes – if only I had a US-based credit card. Ha ha. And don't get me started on FairPlay.

This is Internet TV? Not impressed.

So, once again, if you want something, you try to go the legal route and it doesn't work. So, you're forced (in theory, I'm not saying you would do this) to go some place like YouTube that is unauthorized.

This is it in a nutshell. If legit sites are harder to access and use than the "pirate sites", people willl go to the pirate sites. I also find it amusing that fans of shows are better and faster at making media easy to find and use than the people who own the content.
