DICK CHENEY: STILL LIKES TO SCARE THE HELL OUT OF YOU

ITEM: Dick Cheney warns that there is a “high probability” that terrorists will attempt a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack in coming years, and that thanks to Obama’s bleeding heart hugs-not-bombs tactics, they’ll probably succeed and you and yr loved ones will all die violently.

“When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry,” Cheney says.

Because, you know, nothing stops terror in its tracks quite like hard-ass policies that encourage more people to hate you enough to become terrorists.

I’d ask why anyone’s even bothering to ask Dick’s opinion on anything, but when the GOP asks Joe The Plumber for advice on the economic stimulus bill, why not seek anti-terror expertise from the guy whose advocation of torture and pre-empetive war arguably did more to boost Al Qaeda’s recruitment drive than Osama Bin Laden?

FUN FACT: I wasn’t kidding about Joe The Plumber. His advice: having “someone go in there and kick some ass.”
