Sunday was the Ides Of March, which means that Team Frog International is kicking off Year 4 on the LJs, in one version or another. And while this LJ has experienced a number of changes (for a start, there are at least 34 more of you here than there were in 2005), patterns have emerged – often by chance rather than design.

For example, it seems like for the past few Monday mornings, I’ve kicked things off with a retro cheesecake icon photo of some kind. This wasn’t planned. It just sort of ... happened.

I can’t say for sure that the Def Monday Bombshell will continue regularly. And it probably hasn’t got to the point where regular readers are saying, “Uh-oh, Monday’s coming ... Fr0g isn’t going to post one of THOSE pictures again, is he?”

He is today, though. For it is written that when the Ides Of March occurs on a Sunday, on the following Monday you will need to see the greatest photo ever taken of Jayne Mansfield AND Sophia Loren together.



Which is either pointless, gratuitous cheesecake, or sly commentary on social mores, dinner etiquette and the comic power struggle between cleavage and eye contact. I'm not really sure.

Anyway, welcome to Year 4 of my demented wild-eyed jabberings. I look forward to entertaining and informing each and every one of you with random nonsense like this. It’s all leading somewhere, I promise you. I am yr JJ Abrams of LiveJournal – only with greater delusions of grandeur.
