WHY WE FIGHT: DAMES AND GAMS

So it’s Monday. If yr in America, that means it's Memorial Day, which means you’ve got a day off and the Indy 500 doesn’t start until after lunch. So you don’t really need a Monday morning wake-up call.
Right?
So sleep in. Dorothy "Dottie" Lamour will be waiting for you when you wake up.

DISCLAIMER: I can’t say for sure that Ms Lamour was the No.1 pinup of the US Army. I’ve heard Betty Grable was the most popular pinup of all of WW2. Certainly she got her own fighter-plane nose art.

All I can tell you is every available inch of my barracks room wall was covered in Samantha Fox posters.
Why yes, I did enlist in the mid-80s. However did you know?
FACT: I’m not kidding about the Sam Fox posters. I also hung them all upside down. For effect.
BONUS PICTURE [via No Smoking In The Skull Cave]: Pinups in action in WW2.
