Possibly the greatest segment ever aired on network television: The Popsicle Twins performing “Have You Got A Nickel?” on The Gong Show.

FUN FACT: According to legend, Barris used to intentionally submit acts he knew would never get past the censors in order to make other risque acts look tame by comparison. The Popsicle Twins were one of those acts, but the NBC censorship board missed it. Interestingly, the segment was broadcast in the East/Central time zones before the censors caught it and it was blocked in the Mountain/Pacific zones.

Wayyy back in 1974 I had a weekday routine/ritual of my mom giving me my lunch (usuallty Campbell's chicken noodle soup) and watching the Gong Show before afternoon kindergarten.
