ITEM [via Schneier]: You know that alarm function that allows you to find yr car in a full parking lot? The same technology is now available for yr luggage. The Luggage Locator consists of a small transmitter about the size of a key chain and a lightweight receiver that attaches to any luggage handle. With the simple push of a button, the transmitter activates the receiver causing a bright flashing light and loud chirping sound.
Potential downside: freaking out TSA staff and causing an airport lockdown that results in you being arrested for terrorism and yr luggage being blown up by the bomb-disposal squad.
But at least you’ll know where it is when they do.
