ITEM [via Pink Tentacle]: Researchers from the Machine Perception Laboratory at the University of California, San Diego and Japanese robotics firm Kokoro have created a humanoid robot modeled after a 1-year-old child.
The robot baby – named “Diego-san” – is designed to help researchers study how infants develop motor skills during the first year of life.
It’s also a great way to creep out people in the grocery store.

Soon to be a remake of a major motion picture.
Super-toys last all summer long,
