Airplane! is one of the great comedies from my impressionable teenage years (and is also probably the first time I ever saw naked boobs on a huge screen – bonus!). Like a lot of people at the time, I assumed it was making fun of the Airport film series – which it was to a point, but many of the key scenes, lines and pretty much the entire plot were stolen wholesale from the film Zero Hour! – so much so that it’s practically a remake.

Evidence follows.

Let that be a lesson to you. If you have to remake a movie, this is how you should do it.
